We’re a diverse group of caring and creative problem solvers determined to make child care work for everyone regardless of cultural, linguistic or ethnic background.

We help you save time, money and confusion by navigating the twists and turns of the complicated road to informed and affordable child care choices while also serving as a critical educational, advising and administrative resource to child care providers.

History

CCCB has been serving the people of Boston since 1991. We expanded our services to Brookline, Chelsea, Revere and Winthrop in 1999 and have included Cambridge, Everett and Somerville since then. We’ve become a conduit and a partner to Greater Boston’s complex network of related community and governmental agencies.

Facilitating

If you’re income-eligible, the State vouchers we manage will help you pay for child care.

Advocating

Our advocacy for affordable, quality child care is genuine and inclusive to all cultures and communities. Our efforts have a positive and lasting effect on children, families, early child educators and the communities we serve.

As the region’s Child Care Resource and Referral agency (CCR&R), we have deep knowledge and decades of experience and accomplishment. We provide support, resources, voucher subsidies, training and technical assistance to families, child care providers, employers and the larger community. An evolving economy and welfare reform continue to increase the needs for our services.

We are an agency within an agency, guided by ABCD (Action for Boston Community Development) but managing an all-encompassing orbit of State and independent child care choices, including ABCD’s own impressive child care and family related programs.
